Australia; Investigate AstraZeneca and the Case of Blood Clots
UMMATIMES - Australian Health Service Deputy Michael Kidd said his country was investigating the link between the blood clotting case and the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Australian media reported that a 44-year-old man was admitted to a Melbourne hospital with possible blood clots after a few days of receiving the vaccine.
"Investigators have yet to confirm a causal link with AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine, but investigations are ongoing," said Kidd.
Kidd hopes that the details of the results of the investigation can be announced on Saturday (3/4).
The Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as the drug and therapeutic regulatory agency has said that the AstraZeneca vaccine is not associated with an increased risk of overall blood clots.
