Israeli air strikes again target training facilities in Gaza

UMMATIMES - The Israeli military carries out air strikes against the Gaza Strip. This follows rocket attacks from Palestine in recent days.

The attack sent on Saturday (17/4/2021) hit a 'terror target' operated by the ruling faction in Gaza, Hamas.

A statement issued by the Israeli army said the targets included "training facilities, anti-aircraft missile launch stations, concrete production plants and terror tunnel infrastructure."

AFP reported that witnesses and security sources said the attack hit two "training sites" for fighters in southern Gaza and another target in central Gaza.

Launching Al Jazeera, a Hamas spokesman said, despite Israeli actions, "Gaza is still struggling and not destroyed".

This attack is the second time in a week. On Thursday night (15/4/2021), rockets were fired at southern Israel.

This prompted the Israeli army to launch air strikes on Gaza that caused no casualties. Israel imposed a sea and land border blockade on Gaza after Hamas seized control in 2007.

Since then, they fought three wars. The ceasefire has persisted in recent years despite occasional turmoil. Palestinians fired rockets at Israel and the latter responded with air strikes on the coast.
