4 Passengers Positive for Covid-19, Hong Kong Stops Garuda Flights from Jakarta

Hong Kong authorities banned Garuda Indonesia flights from Jakarta following the discovery of four passengers who were positive for Covid-19 on a flight last Sunday, June 20. They previously flew with Garuda Indonesia aircraft GA876.

UMMATIMES - The four passengers were found to be positive based on test results upon arrival in Hong Kong.

From this finding, the Hong Kong authorities immediately imposed a ban on Garuda Indonesia flights from Jakarta from Tuesday, June 22 to July 5.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong found seven imported Covid-19 cases. These seven cases include six women from Indonesia and a 51-year-old man whose travel history is unclear.

"None of the patients showed any symptoms," said the Hong Kong Center for Health Protection, quoted from chinadailyhk.com, Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

For 15 days until Tuesday, there was no local transmission of Covid-19 in Hong Kong.

The total number of positive cases of Covid-19 in this 1,106 km country is 11,896 cases.
