China Reports Only 17 New Covid-19 Cases

A total of 17 new cases of Covid-19 emerged in China on June 20, down from 23 the day before. This is based on data from the National Health Commission on Monday (21/6).



UMMATIMES - Of these, one is a local case in southern Guangdong province, while the rest are imported cases, according to local health authorities. The number of asymptomatic cases has also decreased, from 20 to 19 cases.

China does not consider asymptomatic cases as confirmed Covid-19. As of June 20, the total confirmed cases of Covid-19 in China reached 91,604 cases, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

China is the country with the most population in the world but which has managed to control the Covid-19 outbreak compared to other countries such as the United States or India. China also produces vaccines to fight Covid-19 and distributes some to various countries in the world, including Indonesia.
