follow Hong Kong, Macau Close Representative Office in Taiwan

UMMATIMES - The government of the Macau Special Administrative Region (MSAR), Wednesday (16/6), announced plans to close its economic and cultural representative office in Taiwan.

This follows the steps of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSAR) which has closed its representative office since May 18. In its announcement, MSAR will suspend all of its activities starting June 19.

During non-operation, MSAR provides 24-hour hotline telephone service to Macau residents living in Taiwan. There is no clear reason for the closure of the Macau representative office in Taiwan.
