Turkey to Send 10 Trucks of Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

UMMATIMES - The Turkish Red Crescent will send 10 trucks of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

The head of the Turkish Red Crescent (Kizilay) Kerem Kinik said that preparations for the delivery of the first convoy of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza through the Rafah border crossing had been completed.

Kinik said this while attending a series of meetings in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to speed up aid delivery efforts.

Kizilay has sent two ambulances to Jerusalem to meet the Palestinian Red Crescent's need for small ambulances that can enter the streets of the holy city, he said.

“We have prepared a humanitarian aid convoy of 10 trucks with the Egyptian Red Crescent. The six trucks in the convoy will carry approximately 2,000 food packages,” said Kinik.

"In addition, other trucks will also carry medical supplies, hygiene kits as well as stationery and toys sent by the Turkish Ministry of Education," he concluded.
